Application Process

Step 1:
First choose the type of surface on which to place the design and make sure it is clean, dry and free of debris, grass clippings, etc. It is recommended that grassy areas be watered well a day or two prior to application, and cut short, to about
1 inch height. Be sure to apply only to dry surfaces.

Step 2:
Unroll each screen, lay flat and smooth with your hands or allow them to sit for a few moments to flatten out, if they have been rolled.

Step 3:
If using a base color, lay out the base pattern first and smooth until flat. Complete the cutout of base and remove center section. Lay heavy objects such as rocks or bricks on the corners to hold in place. Leave base pattern in place when applying other screens.

Step 4:
Lay screen No. 1 on the area in which the design is to be placed. If applying on a soft ground surface, stretch the screen and place the four stakes through the grommet holes and into the ground. If applying on a hard surface where stakes cannot be used, hold the screens down with heavy objects such as bricks or rocks. Smooth any ripples in screens and ensure they are lying flat and smooth on the ground.

* Please use caution when handling stakes; sharp objects can be harmful and cause damage if used improperly.

Step 5:
Locate the FANatic Art Removable Temporary Paint can that corresponds with the current screen & design and shake very well. Hold the can straight up and down, 3 to 5 inches from the screens and spray through the mesh of the first screen.

Following the design, spray evenly until the area is covered. If using without stakes, spray over the grommet holes to provide a guide for lining up the additional screens. If using with stakes, leave stakes in place and gently remove the first screen.

Allow 5 to 10 minutes for the first color to dry, then lay the second screen over the stakes or grommet hole marks, directly on top of the first painted area. Repeat the process until all colors in the design have been painted.
